An estimated 150,000 dogs will be bitten by rattlesnakes in the United States this year. Our 12-station full-immersion course trains your dog to recognize and avoid rattlesnakes by scent, sound, and sight — in a fully controlled environment where they are never at risk.
Our Lead Trainer brings six years of professional rattlesnake handling and a working-ranch background — managing livestock alongside venomous wildlife every day. Every course uses live rattlesnakes in secure ¼-inch wire containment that meets the UC IPM standard for rattlesnake-proof barriers. Your dog learns to recognize real threats — and avoid them at home and on the trail.
Our course moves through three deliberate phases, each containing scent, sound, sight, and proofing stations. 01 Full Sensory Introduction establishes foundational avoidance. 02 Behavior Modification forms the negative association using adverse stimuli. 03 Avoidance Affirmation locks in the correct response through positive reinforcement. Every dog finishes with Full Sensory Exposure — a final, real-world proofing encounter that verifies lasting avoidance.
Ours is the most complete rattlesnake avoidance training program available. Period.
